descriptions of scenes above... scene #1 (upper left) from the first act in which the greed of the elders is emphasized (notice the chorus lined up in the back)... the music is bright and aggressive... scene #2 (upper right) from the closing of the first act with the shame of the elders in which they are driven out of the marina... the music turns dark... scene #3 (lower left) happiness abounds... more gulls are included... the music is optimistic... scene #4 end of act 2... the elders are back with a vengeance... the music is suspicious.... i won't spoil the ending... coming to a marina near you....
