Any excuse for a Parde!......This email (exerpted below) appeared in my mail box on July 5th......

Walter, I am a Special Assistant to a Member of the Ontario Parliament

here in the great white north. I just wanted to tell you how wonderful

your homepage is. I had occasion to enjoy it and it is a great deal of

fun. You have obviously put a lot of work into it and have made it a

great place to visit.

At this moment, the Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus (Blue

Unit) is visiting our city of Toronto, Canada. This is one of the very

few occassions that it has ever visited us in Toronto. I went to the

performance last Saturday morning. (July 3rd) and (wait for it....) met

CHRISTY (go to http://amazinwalter.com/christy ). It was a wonderful experience for me. You have the most amazing

daughter (although you probably already know that). She was so very

kind, and gracious to me. Her wonderful manner, comic talent and

personable charm made me feel so very nice.We chatted and then, when the

show started she came over to where I was sitting and gave me a special

wave of acknowledgement.

My reason for writing is to tell you what an honour it was for me to

meet Christy. I can only imagine how enormously proud of her you must

be. I am hopeful that I can go to see the show again this coming

Saturday, before they leave town.

Please convey to her how much her kindness to me meant. Thank you for

reading my e-mail.

and then after finding out that Christy was to be on TV in Toronto he taped the show and sent a copy to me along with a package containing several small bottles of Jakeman's Maple Syrup and a cap that says CANADA on it... thanks Barry Strader
