William Jarrett "Bill" Hickingbottom, Jr.
William Jarrett "Bill" Hickingbottom, Jr. of Marble Falls, Texas died Sunday, November 7, 2004 at Seton Highland Lakes Hospital in Burnet. A celebration service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 10, 2004 at First Baptist Church in Marble Falls with Rev. Steve Peace officiating. Visitation is from 6 - 8 PM Tuesday at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls. A native of Orange, Texas, Bill was born on September 12, 1942 in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and was a retired draftsman from Levingston Shipbuilding, Stubbs-Overbeck and Associates, and part owner and shareholder of Inland Offshore Incorporated. He served as school board member at Orangefield I.S.D., and was an ordained deacon at Old First Orange Baptist Church. After retirement, Bill honored the Lord by serving as a board member of the Volunteer Christian Builders Association, where he worked to construct churches across the nation. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Marble Falls. He is survived by his wife Carla Hickingbottom of Marble Falls; father William Jarrett Hickingbottom Sr. of Lewisville, TX; sister Janice Freeman of Denton, TX; mother-in-law Nadine Cason of Marble Falls; two sons and their wives, Todd Hickingbottom and wife Pam of Marble Falls and Kent Hickingbottom and wife Sherii of New Braunfels, TX; and five grandchildren, Kelsy, Tyler, Cason, Claire, and Cate Hickingbottom.
